How I can help
When contemplating a transformative process such as psychotherapy or coaching you may be unsure of the best way forward. We each experience a unique set of challenges, problems and worries and the benefit of working as both therapist and coach is that I am able to offer a flexible and tailor-made programme. Therapy is generally a longer-term process of exploration, the focus of the work although on the here and now will inevitably involve considering our past and working with unresolved and often unconscious issues that have resulted in problematic beliefs, behaviours and feelings. Coaching, however, tends to focus more on clarifying goals, identifying strategies and creating action plans. However, in reality, both psychotherapy and coaching have much in common and can and do overlap.

About me
I passionately believe in the benefits of psychotherapy and coaching for everyone
If it was up to me it would be on the national curriculum for every child along with Maths and English. It is never too early (or too late!) to develop emotional intelligence, self-awareness and resilience. It could certainly reduce the anguish that many people face, current statistics worryingly show that one in four people will suffer with mental health conditions and that more teenagers than ever suffer with depression and anxiety. I want to see you thrive and become empowered in all areas of your life and to live true to your essence. My own life experience led me to seek out therapy when I was in my early 30’s, it was a transformative experience and consequently, I decided to train as a psychotherapist. I began training in 2005 at Spectrum – Centre for Humanistic Psychology. The theoretical approach was Integrative and based on both traditional and modern psychotherapeutic disciplines, namely: Person Centred, Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Existential and Formative/Somatic psychology. I later trained in CBT, Human Givens, Therapeutic Coaching and Mindfulness. I’m experienced in working with neurodivergent and LBGTQIA+ clients. This means I have a wide range of techniques and models to draw from and to inform me of the best way of working with you.
