We are all unique individuals with complex and varied life challenges. What type of support you need will depend on what difficulties you are facing. You may not know why you feel the way you do and that’s perfectly OK. You may feel ‘stuck’ or have a long standing issue you wish to explore or perhaps an unexpected life event has occurred.
My role as your therapist is to offer you a safe and confidential setting where you can speak openly about your problems without fear of being judged. This can be hard in the beginning but it does get easier. We will begin by establishing what it is that you are struggling with and how it’s affecting your life.
Therapy can be a mid to long-term process of exploration, usually focusing on what is troubling you in the here and now. However, to fully know ourselves in the present will usually involve exploring our past in order to identify unresolved and often unhelpful and unconscious beliefs that are most likely contributing to the patterns and problems we are experiencing. The therapeutic process is collaborative and creative, we will work together to bring about insight, change and resilience by developing healthy skills and behaviours to manage difficult emotions.
Sessions can take place in person in a dedicated therapy room at my home in NW London and/or on Zoom.
